What Causes Clear Itchy Bumps On The Nose?

Hello, I have small clear bumps on the left side of my nose that itch. After about a day or two, they begin to drain clear fluid and begin to scab and appear red underneath. This usually goes away in about a week or two, but it happens every year, about once a year, any time from October to December, so I think it s an allergy. I have type 2 diabetes and am not sure if this is an autoimmune problem or eczema, but every time it happens, I cant get in to see a doctor.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to herpes simplex which is a viral infection. I recommend to use an antiviral cream for local application such as Acyclovir cream. I also suggest to use Acyclovir tablets 400 mg three times a day.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
