Citrobacter koseri belongs to Enterobacteriacea family
It is inhabitants of our intestine and goes to vagina and
urinary tract.
It can be isolated from various environmental sources like soil, sewage and as well as human feces.
Poor hygiene of hand and pelvic cause infection.
If you have no symptoms,this type of infection does not require treatment.
If you have symptoms like burning urination, pain, difficulty in urine.
Pus cell (> 5/hpf) then you need treatment.
Antibiotic like
ceftriaxone will helpful
Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pineapple
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene after the urination.
Do not delay in empty the bladder and empty it completely
