What Causes Circular Lump On Cheekbone With Severe Pain In Ear Be?
My 29 year old daughter has seen a few doctors with a circular lump on her upper left cheeckbone and excrutiating pain in her ear. One doctor said it might be an infection so put her on clarythimycin Then she saw Nother doctor who thought it might be shingles (shes had them in the past) and he saw one in her ear. Then she went back to original doctor who said it might be lyme disease and she had been camping in tall grass the weekend before in port burwell ontario She has two pencilmend size black scabs on her face like Ive never seen before and still has pain in her ear and a crawing sensation onmthe side of her face like a bug crawling inside She is alsonexperiencing numbness on the side of her head above the affected ear Any ideas of what this could be and what she should do next Thanks Lainey

dear many common causes for cheek swelling most commonly mums, salivary duct obstruction, parotid abscess, boils, malignant if parotid, cmv infection,tooth abscess etc... it is difficult to what is the causative until examination us done.please consult your ent surgeon/general surgeon they get it done ultrasounds of parotid area, send secretions for culture, treat you accordingly.i think I answered to your question if you have more questions feel free to ask.
