Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Chronic Right Sided Facial Pressure And Pain?
I have pressure facial pain on the right side that is now causing pain around my eye also. Swollen and painful lymph nodes. Problem with a white sticky saliva causing tooth discoloring. All dental and sinus tests r fine. Bone scan shows inflammation. No fever have been on several rounds of antibiotics. The pain and pressure is getting worse. Would MRI be something to consider? It s been about a year now and getting worse.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Swollen and painful lymph nodes are most commonly caused by acute inflammation of the lymph nodes. A focus of infection in head and neck region is the most probable cause of acute inflamed lymph nodes. Facial pain and pain around the eye are suggestive of sinus pain. White sticky saliva could be discharge draining from the sinuses into the oral cavity. An antibiotic course will help to control the focus of infection in the head and neck region. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and prescription of antibiotic course.
