What Causes Chronic Pain And Stiffness In The Leg?

I have been receiving B-12 shots for several months now as my B-12 level was down to 38. Now my level is 554 and all of a sudden I have terrible pain in my left leg and it s stiff. I had an MRI done last week and it showed 2 bulging discs, L4 and L5. Could this much pain come on so suddenly? I am being treated for the pain but it s not helping much. Any thoughts?

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Bulging L4 and L5 discs as revealed by your MRI may cause such symptoms due to nerve compression.Treatment options for such pain may include: different lines of pain drugs depending on pain intensity, myorelaxants, steroid shots ocassionally, physiotherapy or surgery in very severe cases. Some of these options may be tried together for better results.I will suggest you try:
-A pain drug like aceclofenac
-A myorelxant like miorel
-Hire the services of a Physiotherapist
If symptoms persist, you see your Doctor for reevaluation. If need be, you may consult a Rheumatologist for other treatment options.
Hope this will help
Wish you good health
