What Causes Chronic Feet Pain In An Obese Person?

Hi. I am a 40 year old male 5 10 285lbs and i have been having chronic pain in both of my feet. my heels often feel bruised and i can almost not bare to stand when i first wake been like this for atleast a month. I know the obvious with my weight i have also had my left ankle rebuilt including a donor tendon ive often thought it was just swelling from damage and favoring that ankle. Any thoughts?

Welcome HCM,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chronic feet pain in an obese person . Well there can be many reasons for symptom you mention in query like achilles tendinitis , bone spurs , bursitis , diabetic neuropathy , gout , osteoarthritis , plantar fasciitis and tendinitis . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order X-ray , CT scan and blood test. Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , vitamin supplement and physical therapy . For now give your feet proper rest , put your feet in hot water tub with one spoon salt in it , do gentle massage with flax seed oil and avoid wearing high heels try to wear sport shoes . Try to reduce your weight by altering your diet and doing exercises like yoga . Also drink glass of warm water with honey and half lemon in it in the morning to reduce weight .

Include essential nutrients in proper quantity ,in your diet as protein, carbohydrates, and fats for a reason.
