What Causes Chronic Fatigue And Lethargy?

Hello, I am a 18year old female that is always tired. It seems like I always start getting tired around noon, and all I do is go to college. I don t have a job where I could understand being tired from a lot of physical activity. I get home about 12:30 in the afternoon, and I plan to do things around my house like daily chores, homework, cook dinner, finish some projects for the house, etc.Once I get home I would like to just get up and go like a normal 18year old girl should. But instead I feel drained, and have to push myself to even make dinner. I don t understand why I have such a lack of energy. Starting around 12:00pm It almost feels like I ran a marithon and i just want to rest. I don t understand and I really hope you can help.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Letharginess is commonly seen in anemia or low hemoglobin states.
Thus, I suggest you to get complete hemogram and peripheral blood smear
Decreased hemoglobin levels can cause lethargy, tiredness, fatigue, faintedness, increased heart rate etc.
Complete hemogram and peripheral blood smear examination will determine whether anemia is present or not and what type of anemia is present.
If no anemia is present then other causes of increased fatigue have to be ruled out.

Thanks and take care
