Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Last night starting having diareah - had to get up 2 times during night. Still having same symptom. We are married and I had some diareah this morning also. Mine has stopped, but still feel sick at my stomach. WE do not know if this is a virus that we both caught, or if we both ate something causing food poisoning. What are some home treatments to help? Should we of just fluids and avoid solid food. Or is it better to having solid food on your stomach
Need not to worry. You should take plenty of fluids to rehydrate yourself. Take diet rich in fibres as well. Avoid spicy and solid food intake. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ornidazole , albendazole , omeprazole along with loperamide. Take a light walk before sleep. For now eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
