Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your query, you have symptoms of chronic cough which seems to be due to lung infection and bronchospasm, allergic reaction, acid reflux or side effects of medicine.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult pulmonologist without any delay. Doctor may order blood test, throat swab test and get an x-ray of the chest and Immunoglobulin G levels checked for further treatment.

Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with decongestants and mucolytic agents. Do warm saline gargles with pinch of salt water. Take expectorants and steam inhalation and take rest. You should avoid hot, sharp and spicy foods.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
