General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms could be due to allergic/viral bronchitis associated with sinusitis. Pneumonia is present with fever. If it is not associated with fever, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest congestion then nothing to worry and take following advises for next 7 days.

- Take Cough syrup containing Guaifenesin and Dextromethorphan (Q tussin CF): 10 ml three times a day
- Drink plenty of lukewarm water
- Steam inhalation 3-4 times a day
- Strepsil throat lozenges (neem and honey flavor): take every 3 hourly
- Avoid cold beverages and exposure to pollutants
- Tablet Cetrizine at bed time

If the cough persists despite using the above medication then further workup would be required by consulting the pulmonologist.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
