Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of choking up on foods and drinks. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like dysfunction of esophageal sphincter and their impaired functioning. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult your doctor and discuss the condition with him/her . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe some substitute . For now elevate your head while sleeping , avoid spicy and heavy food specially at night and take antacid after every meal .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
