What Causes Chills Down The Spine During Withdrawal Of Narcotic Drugs?

I ve been on long term narcotics. I used to be on a high amount of percocet, oxycontin, and fentynl patch. I have two diagnosis. Sphyncter of oddi dysfunction caused from gall bladder removal and had an incident that my back has a bulge in one disc and a pinched nerve in another. I ve been reducing my fentanyl. I was on 75mcg, currently on 37mcg. The oxycontin was 15 mg twice a day, and I don t take it at all anymore. The percocet was 10\325mg three times a day, and now I only take it if I need to. The last reduction in medication was 6+ weeks ago. I am currently having a withdrawal symptom, but there s no change in meds! I feel an intense amount of energy if you will in my spine. It can be discribed as chills in my spine, however it doesn t stop. I could also say that it feels like misfires. Do you know what is going on?

Not withdrawal.

cannot say in your particular case, but generally, withdrawal peaks within ONE WEEK of stopping the narcotic. The list of usual withdrawal symptoms is about a dozen categories of symptoms including tearing, salivation, nausea/vomiting, pain, tremor, anxiety but NOT intense energy except for tremor .\

It would seem a coincedental occurance of some other cause of symptoms. OTher medications, illnesses, bipolar disorder are some possibilities.
