What Causes Chills, Diarrhea, Fatigue And Stomach Cramping?

I had severe chills and some stomach cramps and diarrhea; maybe low grade fever last night. Today I had a mild headache, but feel better now, just a lack of appetite and fatigue. I took some turmeric last night before bed for inflammation related to fibromyalgia. I have never had chills like this before though. Just wondering what it could be. I am female, 65 in good health otherwise.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chills, diarrhea, fatigue and stomach cramping . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons viral syndrome , medication reaction , side effect , lyme disease , food poisoning and viral gastroenteritis . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may take history , order blood test and stool test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe anti viral like acyclovir , antacid and analgesic . For now paracetamol for fatigue ,chills and pain , eat light and take as much fluid as you can specially ORS solution to prevent dehydration .
