What Causes Chest Pain, constant Burping, sore Throat And Pain In Groin?

My friend recently had a stent put in his heart at the end of 2010. He is on 6 different medications (blood thinners, blood pressure lowering, cholestorol reducing etc). The first trouble he had was at the sight of the angio seal. He kept getting sever pain in his groin. Someone suggested that when the operation was performed the pressure placed on that area may have caused nerve damage. This went on for weeks but has now stopped. The next problem was at the end of January he developed an extremely sore throat. Had great difficulty swallowing. He went to Doctor who diagnosed strep throat and prescribed antibiotics. The antibiotics did not work and two - three later he went back to the doctor who prescribed him another course of antibiotics. The second course of antibiotics did not work either. He is now waiting to see an ear, eye and throat specialist (we wonder if this problem is to do with the medications he is on as he has had this sore throat since the end of January 2011). The next problem he now has is chest pain and constant burping... What could be causing this. I remember when my grandfather had a triple and then quadruple bi-pass he also use to have constant burping. He said his doctor told him it was from the blood thinning medications. Is this what my friend's constant burping could be caused from. If you could shed some light on this I would be so grateful.

Thankyou

Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query in details .

* Burping and chest pain is drug induced gastritis with or without ulcer
most likely , needs confirmation with upper GI endoscopy .
* Sore throat relates to possible viral infection of upper respiratory tract .

* Groin pain may be possible from catheter insertion at angiography site
creating some nerve issue .

Hope this clears your doubt .
Wishing you fine recovery .

Welcome for any further assistance .
Regards take care .
