What Causes Chest Pain?

I was outside working on a fence. I was sweating pretty good, and I got aggravated and ill. I was bending over when I noticed my chest started to hurt a little. It s in the middle, and I kind of feels like it would be something to do with how I breath because a deep breath hurts. It even hurts when i lay down on any side. But if I sit up, it eases off. What have i done?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
thanks for your question
chest pain on bending can be most probably due to gastritis / Gerd

other causes can be cardiac, pleural

to rule out these causes in my patients I prefer to request for a chest X-ray and an ecg to evaluate and to reach to a. certain cause and prefer to prescribe my patients on a proton pump inhibitor

so you can disscuss these modalities with your physician or a Pulmonologist which can help to diagnose the situation and to prescribe you some medications if needed

thanks
