What Causes Chest Pain?

I am feeling chest pain I think the pain is in my sternum in the middle and upper area and when I take deep breaths I feel pain. Its been more than an hour since the pain started and it has gotten to a sharp pain. I feel like if i take a deep breath I can possibly pop what I feel. What should I do?

Hi,
Can you please tell me your age , sex and personal details ,I mean smoking or alcohol history if any.
It could be intercostal neuritis which is increased on deep breathing ,squatting and or coughing . If you have took any analgesic and its not improving your complains visit your nearest GP.
You must be evaluated if you do have got any other co- morbid conditions like diabetes , hypertension or any other significant illness.
