What causes chest pain while breathing?

I have had chest pain when breathing. Same thing happened yesterday. I took two aspirin and awhile later an antacid/anti-gas and felt some better. It s happening again this evening along with sweating. I just feel tight when breathing. Not short of breath. Uncomfortable left rear shoulder blade area. Took My BP and pulse (auto machine) 111/68 and pulse of 81. Indigestion or heart. I am a 58 year old male light smoker

Hello dear welcome to HealthcareMagic
Regarding your experience with chest pain sweating shoulder blade discomfort despite intake of antacids I am suggesting you have developed the following differential diagnosis

Angina pectoris
Myocardial ischaemia
Coronary vasospasm
Aortic Aneurysm

In view of this please do the following test
Chest x-ray
Serum electrolytes
Coronary angiography

Meanwhile please see a cardiologist specialist with the results and for expect clinical evaluation as well as adequate drug prescription

Moreover please take some analgesic pending your appointment

I hope this helps Regards
