General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I wish to find out the indication of your surgery. Chest pain is common after surgery, especially long surgeries or surgeries that require long recovery periods.

Possible causes may include: pneumonia, heartburns or gastritis. I will suggest you inform your doctor. If pain of gastric origin an antacid/proton pump inhibitor will help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso
