What Causes Chest Pain During Pregnancy?

Hi - I am 17 weeks pregnant, and from my first week of pregnancy, I have been feeling chest pains. They are never in the same location ... sometimes in the middle, sometimes towards my left or right shoulder, and sometimes underneath my breastbone. At first, I thought it was related to heartburn, but I ve noticed the pain appears randomly throughout the day - with no connection to the times that I eat. I am borderline anemic, and my doctor put my on iron supplements. I am also vegetarian. I have heard that anemia can cause chest pains. Do you think this is my problem? And if so, what should I do? I m already taking my recommended dosage of iron. Thanks kindly.

I think this is due to gastritis or you can say heartburn. Avoid spicy food and tea and coffee. Take frequent small meals. iron tablet can also cause indigestion and pain abdomen. With iron tablets you can take vitamin c for better absorption.
