What Causes Chest Pain And Weakness In Arm?

HI..

I AM TENNIS PLAYER.. I AM 27, MALE, 5' 11", 95 KGS, SO A LITTLE OBESE. I PLAY REGULARLY - ABOUT 2-3 HOURS TENNIS 2-3 TIMES A WEEK. I PLAYED FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS TODAY AND WHILE PLAYING I FELT A SMALL PAIN RIGHT BELOW MY CHEST.. ITS EXACTLY ABOVE WHERE THE RIBS END AND BELOW THE HEART I GUESS. IT DIDNT HURT WHEN i WAS PLAYING, MUCH. I AM HOME NOW, AND FOR THE PAST 3 HOURS, THE PAIN HAS BEEN HURTING ME MORE WHENEVER I MOVE MY BODY A BIT - DO A BIT OF WALK OR MOVE AROUND ON THE BED WHILE SLEEPING. AND IN THE PAST HALF AN HOUR, I HAVE A WEAK PAIN IN MY LEFT ARM, FROM THE ELBOW TO FINGERS - I AM A RIGHT HANDED TENNIS PLAYER THOUGH! HAS THIS GOT SOMETHING TO DO WITH CHEST PAIN? ARE THESE SYMPTOMS OF HEART ATTACK OR COULD BE CHEST BONE PAIN? ITS 2:07AM IN THE NIGHT, SHOULD I GO SEE A DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY? RIGHT NOW, THE PAIN DOESN'T FEEL LIKE MUCH, BUT WHEN i MOVE, THE PAIN BECOMES UNBEARABLE FOR A MOMENT, I HAVE A FEELING THAT THIS IS MORE OF A MUSCLE PAIN THAN ANYTHING ELSE, BUT MY WIFE IS WORRIED. Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No, I don't think it is heart related pain.
Possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more likely.
So follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Apply warm water pad on affected areas of chest.
2. Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid sudden jerky movements of chest.
3. Take simple painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen.
4. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise like playing tennis for 1 week.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
