What Causes Chest Pain And Heart Palpitations?

I had 2 stents placed after abnormal stress test. A few days after went to the er 2x with chest pain..last time they told me I had costrochronditis after tests showed nothing. Still experiencing chest pains and heart palpitations that come and go and sometimes feels like my chest is on fire. Could this be caused by stress still and/or by me trying to quit smoking?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Chest pain along with palpitation suggest a cardiovascular disorder.
However, a history of costochondritis attributes the chest pain to it and rules out cardiac ailment.
However, associated palpitations raise the possibility of cardiovascular disorder.
So, consult a cardiologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.

Thanks and take care
