What Causes Chest Pain And Dizziness While On Metformin And Ziac?

Hi I have a question. I m taking ziac but taking the generic of it. The dosage is 5-6.25 mg. I m also on pyschatric medications for bipolar. I was wondering if I should take it at night. Because in the morning when I take it I feel strange such as feeling like I m going to have a heart attack. My chest starts hurting. I also feel dizzy and very moody. I ve been on the medication for over a month or so. Do you think the medication is agreeing with my pyschatric medications. Plus im border line diabetic. I m on metformin.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Probably bisoprolol may cause bronchospasm in few people people. You can change other antihypertensive with betablocker. It may be due to infection of lower respiratory tract etc. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
