What Causes Chest Pain And Difficulty In Breathing?

I woke up with soreness and pain in my lungs and it s painful to breathe much. all across my chest.. It s like my lungs hurt when I breathe. I m not coughing much, but when I do it s painful. It s not like a sharp pain, and it feels warm inside my lungs. It s more like a burning sensation in them and when I do cough, it hurts my lungs. I m 86 years old and this woke me up . I really didn t feel any of these symptoms when I went to bed . I ve never had this happens to me before.

Hello Dear. By listening to your symptoms i feel most probably you are having gastritis, because thats ho it presents, a burning sensation in the chest.

You can take over the counter medications like tablet pantaprozole or omeprazole one on empty stomach daily morning. Also take mucaine gel 5ml three times a day. Also you need to follow few lifestyle tips

1. Do not eat spicy food
2. Take medications without fail as prescribed by your doctor
3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8am, small snack at 11am, lunch at 1pm, small snack at 4pm and dinner at 8pm
4. Drink plenty of water
5. Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea
6. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis
7. Do regular exercise. Atleast half an hour per day
8. Learn meditation techniques
9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It is said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
