What causes chest pain after spinal meningioma surgery?

i had spiral bening meningioma in March and the day after the surgery i had chest pains. doctor said that might be the cause after staying face down in the six hour surgery. pains persisted and now in november started pain in rib on right. ct showed normal but bone scan showed solitary focus of intense tracer uptake noted in the 6th rib anteriority. normal tracer distribution noted throughout the rest of the skeletal system. blood tests showed normality and bone scan suggested to repeat after 6 months. when browsing internet i really got confused and now i am very worried. i was thinking of having second opinion ... please advise .

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A benign meningioma is less likely to metastasize to bones.
However, a solitary focus of intense tracer uptake is suspicious of bone metastasis.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your treating surgeon for review of the report.
In case the focus turns out to a metastatic focus, appropriate treatment / ablation of focus will be required.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your surgeon and a radiotherapist for further management.

Thanks and take care
