General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* There can be multiple factors responsible for low drug response as

- associated underlying condition not detected
- antibiotic resistance
- presence of viral or fungal infection, not going to be controlled by antibiotics
- the low immune response of the host against combating the infection
- simultaneous diabetes, steroid consumption or else
- continuous smoking, exposure to atmospheric pollen or else
* Kindly revert back with the x-ray chest plate and basic lab tests results which must be carried out by your GP.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
