What Causes Chest Discomfort After Taking Concerta?

I just upped my dose of concerta and took the first one this morning. as it s wearing off there s a weird kind of feeling in the center of my chest. it s not painful, more just tight and unusual for me. it s comparable to the feeling I get in my chest when I m very anxious.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
hello there, first of all I would like to know the diagnosis or your symptoms and the reason why concerta was started for you. It is a stimulant drug and and is not preferred for anxiety or panic. It is usually given for attention deficit disorder or day time lethargy. I recommend stopping this medicine and try other alternatives for your anxiety. Consult a psychiatrist and get opinion on this. Don't change medicines yourself.
