What Causes Chest Burning And Stomach Pain While Eating When Suffering From Pleurisy?

Hello I m a 42 year old female with bouts of chronic pleurisy ALWAYS on the left side as well as stomach pain ALWAYS on the left side. Over the past week the pleurisy pain has changed into a burning pain ...with more frequent stomach pain along with diarrehea, for HOURS every morning . The burning pain in the chest now has become worse while I m eating as well as my stomach pain...easier to just not eat anymore. Have a history of lupus , use ibuprofen to treat pleurisy ... I try to not take the ibuprofen to give my stomach a break then the pleurisy gets worse, vicious circle, ulcer???? Thanks for your time , Hope

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of pain like pleurisy on left side, painful swallowing, pain on the left side of abdomen, history of Lupus hence has to take Ibuprofen.
The cause needs the investigations to know the exact source as the pain has changed the character.
I would advice you the following:
CT scan of the chest and upper abdomen to see the exact cause of the chest pain if present or was just theoretical.
Upper GI endoscopy and biopsy.
Tests of stool, urine and blood.
And the clinical correlation will find the cause and the plan of treatment.
