What Causes Chemical Like Smell In Nose And Loss Of Taste?

RECENTLY HAD A MOLE REMOVED FROM MY EYEBROW, WHICH INVOLVED THE USE OF LIQUID NITROGEN SPRAY.. SINCE THAT EXPOSURE TO THE LIQUID NITROGEN SPRAY OVER MY FACE I AM EXPERIENCING A CHEMICAL LIKE SMELL IN MY NOSE THAT REMAINS FOR OVER 2 WEEKS. IN ADDITION I HAVE EXPERIENCED SOME LOST OF TASTE. COULD THIS ISSUE BE RELATED TO A REACTION TO THE LIQUID NITROGEN? THANKS

Hello,
Yes this could be related to the exposure to the nitrogen spray.
You can use antihistaminic medicine like cetrizine and normal saline nasal sprays .
The fumes of the nitrogen sprays gets stick to the mucosa and causes such irritation to the mucosa or the nasal skin inside and irritates the nerve endings.
in doubt do reply.
