Is there anything I can take or anything I can do if I have problems traveling to higher altitude . I think I may have cardiac issues . The last time I traveled to higher altitude , I really struggled even when I came back to sea level. I try not to trigger symptoms , no consistent work out because I had issues with heart rate that did recover normally. Pulmonologist checked me out and said lungs are okay, cardiologist did a stress echo imaging? Not sure what they call it, that was fine. Cardiologist wanted me to do CT scan with dye of my heart, but I am allergic to dye. This was all a few years ago. This year I have developed new symptoms . Pain in chest (episodes) and tightness in chest and back. I have to go to Colorado this week and am afraid I may trigger symptoms again. I have an appointment to see a cardiologist in a few weeks. I suspect I might have pericharditus and afib .My blood pressure is always on the low end of normal.
