What Causes Canker Sore And Swollen Throat?

My son is 19 and weighs 168lbs. He has had hot flashes in the past few days and now has canker sores in his throat. His throat is sore and swollen. he has had a fever of 100 degrees but I keep him on advil for his throat so i may not be seeing a high fever because of this. he seems tired and is having stomach aches or pain in his upper abdomen. Can you tell me if he has a major problem?

in my opinion this is bacterial pharyngitis. I would recommend you to take a short course of antibiotics and palliative treatment in form of antiallergic antihistaminic medication and betadine gargles. take hot bath steam inhalation. omeprazole tab. avoid cold drinks.
