What Causes Callus Spot In The Pit Of Ear?

I have a white callus spot in the pit of my ear. It is not painful, does not have an odor, or any discharge. I was able to remove some of the white matter, which left a slight crater. I thought it was a blackhead but I don t believe it is a blackhead.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

It may be acne or boil probably. But until examination is done it is a difficult to say what it is. Use Clindamycin gel locally twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your physician / dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
