Everytime my boyfriend pees he says it burns. We have both been tested with urine samples for the most common stis. The first time we had sex without a condom it hurt him and his penis leaked, second time not as bad, third time only hurts to pee.. What could be wrong?
Dear- thanks for using our system and I understand your concern about your boyfriend's complaint. It is important to understand that his symptoms are secondary to urethritis, which is an inflammation of the urethra. Urine culture will capture the most common bacterial infections in the urine but can not isolate infections from Clamydia,Gonorrhea and other sexually transmitted disease. In order to do that, he will need to have a swap sample from inside of his urethra, that can be taken by the urologist . It is important to have it check and you will need to have a vaginal checkup with your gynecologist too. This is the way to diagnose and treat his condition and you will need treatment too to prevent a reinfection. I hope that my advise will be helpful Feel free to contact me anytime for your medical questions. Dr.Sara
