Hello and thank you for asking HCM.

I have read the symptoms of your brother and i understand your concern.
You say that he had UTI prior to this. Those signs that your brother has are symptoms of an UTI.

There are a few possibilities, depending when he had the UTI prior to these symptoms, the type of antibiotics/treatement prescribed by the doctor ect
-the antibiotics used for the first UTI didn't treat the infection as we wanted. The bacteria in his UT became resistant to that type of antibiotic.
-new infection

What to do?Since your brother took a treatment for UTi, and he has these symptoms again,he needs to do a urine culture. This way we will know the type of bacteria and the right antibiotic that we need to use.

Also he can help his immune system at home with these tips that i will write below:
-have plenty of liquids, especially fresh fruit juice. Cranberry juice would be the best
-urinate as soon as he feels to,and also he needs to make sure to empty his bladder when he urinates
-have 1 or 2 cups of chamomile tea, or peppermint-ginger-juniper berry tea to help the bladder to clean itself and fight the infection.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.
