What Causes Burning Sensation On The Penis Tip?

I have had discomfort (mild burning) in the tip of my penis for two months that comes and goes. I also have mild soreness in both testicles. I have been screened for all std s and it is negative. This is causing me great stress and it is all I think about. Does anybody have any idea what it could be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I think you have a mild infection of the glans penis (Balanitis) and penile urethra.

Please get done your routine urine test and urine culture to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please take broad-spectrum antibiotics like Cefotaxime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkalizer. Later on, switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water. To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
