What Causes Burning Sensation On The Lips After Acetylcysteine Nebulization?
My wife had acetylcysteine mixed with her nebulizer in the hospital in January. She asked them what is this because it was burning her lips. The was in AZ hospital. We came home to MO and her lip has a burn mark. Her pulmonary dr told her to ask the dermatologist. He said he thinks it s nerve damage caused the blood vessels to open up and now they can t close. Does this make any sense?

It may be due to an allergic reaction.
As a first line management, you can take antihistamines like Pheniramine for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
