What Causes Burning Sensation In Vagina During Periods?

i had sex about 3 weeks ago the condom broke i took plan b and had my period this week about 4-6 days ago it felt/ feels like i have razor burn down there but i haven t shaved i felt completely fine the weeks after i had sex no itching no burning nothing untill now . could it be that my pad was rubbing against me and thats why it feels like i have razor burn ( i just shaved today) it does not burn when i pee or anything just feels like i have razor burn

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
It appears that you have developed an allergic reaction for the pads you have used, which has caused burning sensation in vagina during periods.
You need to wash the area with warm water using mild antiseptic like Savlon. You can apply Zinc oxide, glycerol and liquid paraffin containing cream twice daily. Keep the area ventilated by wearing loose undergarments till your symptoms subside completely. Also abstain from intercourse during this period.
