What Causes Burning Sensation In Vagina After Intercourse?

Hi. I recently got back with my boyfriend...who said he didn't have sex with anyone on ''our break''. At the beginning of the relationship we both got checked and all cleared. But a few weeks ago we had unprotected sex and ever since I've had a slight burning sensation during intercourse. I'm just wondering what it could be / why he doesn't have the same symptoms if he has something?

Hello,
Burning sensation after intercourse can be due to lack of sufficient lubrication, rough intercourse, trauma to the tissue and infection. Please get a local examination done by a specialist, a vaginal swab and urinalysis to exclude infection. If infection is detected, get it treated immediately and abstain until complete cure. Your partner also needs to get treated. If urinary infection is detected, it will suffice if that is attended to. Please maintain genital hygiene, have plenty of liquids and rest. Hope this helps.
