What Causes Burning Sensation In Vagina After Having Protected Sex?

Hello. I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my vagina after my husband ejaculates. We normally use condoms. I am on birth control but we use condoms as double protection. We are newlyweds. I m 27 and would like to start a family. I m afraid this condition may prevent that from happening

Hello,

There are plenty of causes for vaginal irritation or burning sensation after intercourse. As your husband uses condom, allergy to semen can be ruled out. As you have symptoms in spite of using condoms, you may have allergy to condom materials or you may have infections. At times insufficient lubrication or rough intercourse may also cause vaginal irritation. Try to change the brands of condoms.. if there is a burning during urination, you may have urinary tract infection. That can treated with antibiotics. Lubricants may be helpful sometimes.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
