What Causes Burning Sensation In Upper Abdomen?

I have been experiencing burning mouth for 3 mo nths.Am taking antacids given by doctors but no remedy.Except for a slight discomfort in the easophagus (upper abdomen) I have no other complaint.What could be my problem?EE or GERD?Is there a permanent remedy for this?Please suggest

* This is due to reflux of stomach acid from variety of causes as
- chronic gastritis , duodenitis - ulcer of stomach or duodenum
- pancreatitis - gall bladder dyspepsia - lax esophageal sphincter
- diet factors of more fat , oil , non veg components - stress
- certain medicines - tobacco , alcohol consumption .

* Needs detail evaluation of the cause with ultrasound and upper GI
endoscopy to reveal the root and treat accordingly .
