What Causes Burning Sensation In The Vagina During Intercourse?

Hello I have recently experienced a burning sensation in my vagina during intercourse. After that I went to pee and it was still burning. Later on i wiped and there was red spot. I have been experiencing irregular bleeding but have been tested for chlamydia with negative result. I had the nexplanon inserted in February and I do not know what is happening with my vagina. Why is it burning? Does it have to do with the implant or could it be something else.? Visited the gyno last month and she checked my vagina said I had a healthy cervix so what s wrong????

Hi, I think irregular bleeding can be a side effect of nexplanon and it will go away on its own. You can get a urine routine and microscopy and culture done to see if there is any urine infection. Burning sensation in vagina can be due to dryness also. Try some lubricants. Also, you can be having some fungal infection. You may need some antibiotic and antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal. Use some vaginal wash to maintain a normal ph. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps.
