General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Burning sensation in the chest not related to the cardiac issue is likely due to acidity where the acid reflux leads to symptoms. I would suggest you visit a gastroenterologist for a routine check-up. He will prescribe appropriate anti-acids to you which will help in relieving symptoms.

As you said you threw up a couple of times. Your doctor can advice you to undergo some diagnostic tests like gastroendoscopy if needed. Apart from this, I would suggest you consult a dietician so that you will know which food to avoid that causes acidity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
