What Causes Burning Sensation In Esophagus ?

Last night I went out for Indian food. I didn t over eat. I have had Indian many times. Last night I woke up with heartburn running from mu stomach to my oesophagus really burning sensation. Tonight I have just sipped a hot water and it feels like burning I my throat, down my oesophagus to my stomach.

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of waking up with heartburn after Indian food, bad burning sensation. Tonight just sipped a hot water and feels like burning of the throat down to esophagus and stomach.
This indicates that you are suffering from GERD, that is gastroesophageal reflux disease.
I would advise you the following:
Stop hot and spicy foods and beverages.
Start a PPI like Omeprazole.
Antacid gel three hourly.
Domperidone as a motility regulator.
If no relief get an upper GI Endoscopy done and get the further treatment.
