What Causes Burning Sensation During Urination?

I’ve been taking metropolol tartrate for over 6 years lately I’ve noticed issues when I try to urinate in which it burns, my side hurts and so does under my right rib. I’ve had ct scan done and everything looks fine not sure what might be causing the burning when urinating. I have seen a urologist did several tests came back fine etc

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* The burning in urination indicates underlying urinary infection, which can be possible with normal CT scan and other lab parameters.
* I recommend to consult with all reports available for further guidelines, till that time, consume plenty of liquids and cranberry sachet once a day.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
