What Causes Burning Sensation During Intercourse And Vaginal Discharge?
hi so I m sexually active with my boyfriend and my only sexual partner, and just recently in the past month or two I ve been getting noticeably more discharge which I m confident I can label as cottage cheese like. I ve been to a doctor and she took a vaginal swab and tested me for chlamydia but it s been a month now and I haven t gotten a response. how long until I get my result? also, just today I had sex and for the first time I felt an obvious burning sensation during. what could this all be? please help.

Burning sensation and cottage cheese like vaginal discharge suggests a reproductive tract infection (RTI) or sexually transmitted disease (STD).
A number of RTI and STDs can present in such way.
Examination of the vaginal discharge should be done to look for infectious agent and to isolate the causative organism leading to infection.
In case Chlamydial infection is suspected, you should get serological tests for Chlamydial infection.
Barrier method of contraception should be avoided till the time infection persists.

Well come to HCM
Sexual active person always be under the risk of some infection and it may not be detectable but clinical symptom need to be treated accordingly and the best drug would be Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days, chances of fungal infection may be likely, hope this information helps, have a nice day ( avoid intercourse for some time)
