What Causes Burning Sensation And Spasms In Urethra After Urination?

I have been experiencing burning sensation and spasms in ny urethra sometimes after urination or not. My urine has been tested and came back normal. Am not sure if i amm reacting to food or fluids that i took. I have been taking some health food tsblets to boost my ph and alkaline levels. Could you please advice me

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have burning sensation and spasms in urethra after urination. Well the causes for burning sensation while urinating is clear cut indication of urinary tract infection or kidney infection . There can be other reasons might be presence of kidney stones , infection , pancreatitis. I would suggest you to consult urologist without any delay and get ultrasound done to rule out presence of kidney , urine test & urinary tract stones. Doctor may also order kidney function test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory at least for a week .Doctor may also refer you to nephrologist for kidney problem . The symptoms can also occur due to STD or prostatitis . For now apply warm compresses to lower abdomen and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
