I fell down the stairs yesterday and my right foot bent backwards and squashed my toes in the process. My secon toe swelled up right away, but I was able to walk. Later that night is starts getting bumb and tingly. Now today I woke up with a red mark on my second toe and my foot has been numb on and off and when I walk I get a sharp tingly pain in my second toe. Now laying In bed I have sharp pain to outside of right foot and a burning sensation on top of my foot and it is very uncomfortable. What could this be? I m losing sleep due to being so uncomfortable.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

It can be a muscle strain or a deep injury, if you have swelling and unable to move your foot then get an X-ray done and consult your physician for further treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
