It might indicate local infection.
But due to sex and constant rubbing your vaginal skin may cause rash and due to you might have itchy feeling.
Try to wash it with warm water three times in a day and specially after sex.
If possible then use condoms to see any improvement because condom make sex smooth and less rubbing of vaginal part.
Do not apply any cream or lubricant over that area.
