What causes burning pain in right Trapezius muscle?

Hi, I ve been having a burning pain in right Trapezoid muscle along with a electric shock when I move or try to rub it and when that isn t happening a crawly feeling there like something is crawling on me. It s been a year of this but it would only act up when I was stress now it s constant. I ve been to the doctor who said it was muscle spasms but this does not feel like spams! Please get back to me

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Stress can cause the aggravation of symptoms including pain and neuralgia (nerve related pain).

The fact that you are experiencing electric shock infers that the pain may be nerve related.

There are different possible causes: (1) vitamin b12, folate deficiency
(2)diabetes
(3)liver and kidney diseases
(4)exposure to toxins
(5)infections
(6)side effect of medication
(7)idiopathic- cause not known
(8)some autoimmune disease

I hope this helps
