What Causes Burning Pain In Ear?

Hi, I have Hypermobility Syndrome and after a trip to the dentist I thought I had dislocated my jaw but y doctor informs me that the pain I am experiencing in my left ear is from an ear infection. The ear hole is almost closed because of the swelling. I was prescribed Locorten Vioform ear drops (3 drops twice a day) and have been taking for two days now. The pain is just increasing with a burning pain in my ear and now incredible stabbing pains. I m unable to chew food or bring my jaw together. Feeling concerned that I may be reacting against the ear drops as things are getting unbearably painful now.

Hello. Welcome to hcm
Burning sensation after antibiotic ear drops is common. The drops might be irritating the mucosa of middle ear.
If you have shown to your doctor, then you might consult him again to change drops.
If drops are used with out consultation with your doctor, it is advisable not to do that as it can damage hearing
All the best
