What Causes Burning In Chest?

hi, my boyfriend suffers from chest burn and is afraid it can be due to heart disease or whatever. He smokes, drinks coffee, stresses, sleeps 5 am in the night and wakes up 2 pm... Had his sugar on the upper edge, now doesn't eat any carbs. That's about it. Thanks.

Hi..
I understand your question. He smokes, drink coffee and is stressfull.
Gasroesophageal reflux disease is likely.
So
1)stop smoking
2)avoid coffee, choclate and strong tea and sweats.
3)avoid spicy and late night meal.
4)elevate his head end of bed about 4inches (sleep propped up)
5)weight reduction if obese
Medications like omeprazole are helpfull when taken before meals
It is better to consult a gastroeneterologist to give him these medicine.
I hope you got my point.
Wish both of you good health.
Thanks
